Natasha Chamberlin is a Las Vegas-based hair and makeup artist who has a passion for transforming clean palettes into works of art. Whether she’s creating looks for a night out on the town or painting models using body paint for avant-garde photo shoots, Natasha demonstrates an extraordinary range of ability to create custom looks for any occasion.
Born in the small town of Ordway, Colorado, Natasha has been drawing, painting and creating art her entire life. Her mother was a hair stylist, so Natasha spent many hours at her mother’s salon observing her work, which gave her the passion for pursing a career in the beauty industry. After attending the Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts in Burbank, Calif., Natasha moved to Las Vegas in July 2007 to pursue opportunities in the local beauty industry.
There are many elements that go into planning and executing a successful photo campaign, ones that Natasha has perfected during her more than seven years in the beauty industry. “When I’m working on set for a photo shoot, I’m collaborating with the creative director, the photographer and the stylist. We have to work from our inspiration and figure out what looks best for the model’s features. Then I create a look that goes with the theme and enhances the model’s natural beauty,” she said.
Not only is Natasha a master at executing professional photo shoots, she also thrives as a personal makeup artist thanks to her passion for making women feel and look beautiful. “Nothing is more special than being a part of someone’s most memorable moments, whether it is for a girls’ night out, their wedding day or belly paintings,” she said. “Helping someone see how beautiful they are and giving them confidence is something that I have the honor of doing as my career.”
Natasha has a Bachelor’s degree in art Colorado State University Pueblo, and has a (it’s just a certificate) from the Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts, where she studied beauty, high fashion, photography and airbrush makeup. Her experience includes working as a makeup artist for Estee’ Lauder and MAC Cosmetics and most recently at COLOR Salon by Michael Boychuck at Ceasars Palace.
Natasha has won two Battle of the Brushes, a competition hosted by Las Vegas-based Rain Cosmetics that attracts beauty professionals from around the world, and Hair Wars, a competition that requires creating eccentric and over-the-top hairstyles. She has worked with well-known personalities such as Paris and Nikki Hilton, Brad Garrett and Criss Angel, and has worked on the set of the Miss USA pageant and photo shoots for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Natasha’s work has appeared in publications around the world, including British GQ Sport and Vegas Rated.
